Day 9

Today was extremly unremarkeble right up until the end.

At around 10:30, after my entire room had its snack, we were hanging out in the main procedure room, which is also where we eat. Usually there is a lot of staff in there but not at night. Here's a little background for what happens, Jamail is constantly hungry and is conviced that he's lost like 10 pounds. So when the one employee left to get someone for their snack Jamail runs over to the other side of the room where the food is kept. Now this room is big, its like maybe 30 yards from one side to the other. Also he tried this once before and I was looking out for him, so I called him off when she started coming back. Before she left the next time I walked away so that he knew I wasn't look out, because I didn't want to be apart of it. This was unfortunate for Jamail because the next time he wasn't so lucky. I don't know what his plan was once he got the food, but he ended up getting caught with a bag of pares as he made his way back across the room.

Afterwards I was talking to Art and he told me that the last group before us got caught stealing food, so they increased the food for us. The thing is they give the same amount of food to everyone which doesn't work. Most of the people including me don't eat their entire meal, so why increase it for a couple of people who are still hungry when the rest will go to waste. Anyway, a little while later when we all go back to our room to watch The Town, which none of them had seen, one chill employee slips us a bag of chips and we share it. For a little while it felt like we were friends just hanging out, eating and watching a movie, it was really cool.

Oh I should also mention that I don't think Jamail will be kicked out and we might get an increase in food based off what the night supervisor said. Well it has been an interesting night but I'll be signing off now so, "good night and good luck."
