Day -3

first day which in the trial is called day -3

arrived at around 6pm

it is currently midnight

There are about 40 people in this study which is a lot compared to the study I was in before. I share a room with four other people. Our beds were assigned and I was assigned a top bunk. Its good in that it keeps my stuff away from people but its bad in that its kinda of annoying getting in and out of bed. Also just remembered I don't have to worry about someone tossing and turning above me. The guy below is about my age and his name is Art. He brought an XBOX 360 and monitor. He has done this at least once before but seems like more. He's cool and laid-back so I don't anticipate any problems with him nor anyone else in my room for that matter. The only other name I’ve learned is  Michael. He is the youngest in my room and possibly in the study at least he looks like it. What I know of him is he's quite and likes to sleep. I don't know the two other guys names yet but I'm sure I will.

We had orientation today, which is where they laid out the general schedule for the study. We were also given the menu for the entire study and it looks fairly good. I recognize some of the staff from before and at least two of them have recognized me and one of them remembered my name or should I say initials. Which was cool because I actually remembered her name, which is Grace. She is really cool and she was the nurse who handled my procedures through most of the allergy study. A brief description of Grace is, she is a short Asian woman in her mid to late 30's. I know she is married but I don't think she has kids.



We were also given a snack which was the most like eating nothing I that I have ever experienced. I don't know how pastries could be so tasteless.

I feel confident that I will make it through the study. I'm a little worried about getting the actual drug and not the placebo because they talked about some unpleasant side effects which was mostly nausea.

Mostly what I have done so far is watch some HIMYM and some Mr. Sunshine both of which I needed to get caught up on.

I also found out that I am getting out the 25th of April which is a Tuesday. I thought I was getting out on the 29th so that was cool to learn. Alright I'm done going to sleep now.
